I’ve had wonderful and atrocious results with hatching eggs. I ordered 6 Serama eggs and received two extra. All of them hatched without a hitch. They were packaged amazingly. Each egg wrapped in bubble wrap and placed in a box full of shredded paper. No damage whatsoever. I ordered a dozen Silver Appleyard eggs and had awful results. The man who sent them shipped them in a plastic egg carton simply placed in an oversized box so there was no cushioning whatsoever. On top of that my package got lost for 5 days in what should’ve been a two day trip. Then the postal office never called me to pick them up despite instructions to do so. Not a single egg hatched.
You can have either fantastic results or awful ones. It’s just a roll of the dice
If you are new to egg hatching, try with local eggs. If you have experience, try with shipped. The closer to you, shipping wise, the better, and the smaller the egg the better for shipping.
