Tell me about it! I was torn - upset about the eggs, but glad she was okay.
As promised Hoppy, here are a few pictures of the chicks.
These are all at about 2.5 weeks old with the 3 week old Barred Rocks (These were taken about two weeks ago - so I really need to get updated ones!)

I'm thinking that this little guy is a rooster - which kind of excites me because I've also got Buff Orpington chicks which I hear have a tendancy to go broody and I would love to try this broody hatching thing again next year!

This one makes the size difference look quite dramatic - but the little BLRW is quite little, even compared to her siblings! She's the only with a name so far: Sweetie Pie. She likes to hop up on the edge of their box and roost on my fingers or sleep in the palm of my hand. She has quite the little personality!!

sweetie pie must be a pretty popular name for BLR- yours is the 3rd one I 've sold that is named sweetie pie.
do you think the middle picture is a roo, because of the comb? If I remember right, you bought one single comb, which doesn't mean it's a roo.
if the comb starts looking very red, compared to the other combs, that is the tell tale sign.
