You should have heard him yesterday morning. I had taken all of the roosters off the roost and put them into cages in my garage so I didn't have to chase them this time. I get up pretty early, and was up about 415. It was starting to get light out so I went to let the girls out. Well I went into the garage (which is part of the house and below the bedroom) and managed to wake up and tick off all the roosters. My poor boyfriend was trying to sleep in with 3 crazy roosters crowing and growling right under him.

Glad he's enjoying his new harem.

I still have my chicks left (brown eggers and olive eggers, turken or not) if you know anyone looking.

Decided to eat my roosters. They're now in a little cage in my front yard hopefully filling out.

Nevermind just sold all 12 of my chicks this morning! I'm now back to manageable numbers. Phew.

Bet your family loved that. I've got 3 crowing roosters right now, but the alpha roo is the main one that crows. Which is lucky, because although my neighbors state they like to hear the sound of the rooster crowing, I would bet they wouldn't feel the same way with 3 dueling roosters.

My husband and I and small grandson attended the chicken swap meet at the Tractor supply in Augusta Maine last weekend. We purchased 3 wyandottes and a little sillkie frizzle (is that what they are called) They are doing great! Our rooster has been hilarious running from the barn up the driveway to the house to check on the one hen we had and then back to the barn to check on the new family members. The little ones are roosting with the older ones and everyone seems to be doing good. Thank-you for taking the time to talk with me. I greatly appreciated the time and meeting you folks. I look forward to more meetings.
