Major Fly problem in run!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello, I have a bad fly problem right now in my run & was wondering what I can do about it? Any suggestions?

don't use fly-strips..... a chicken WILL fly up and get the darned thing stuck to it.
and that is a messy situation.
i asked the same question last summer, my 1st year with chickens, and was advised to hang vanilla scented air fresheners in the coop. it sounded like a pretty nutty idea, but i figured, why not give it a try? and you know what? it seemed to work. sounds crazy, but evidently, flys don't like the smell and seem to steer clear. it really cut down on the flys.

i haven't experimented with different "flavors" yet, but i may this summer, even tho the vanilla seems to do the trick.
