Make sure your coops can open from the inside, too!

I LOVE that! Held hostage until the photo was taken!

What a great though heartwrenching tale. And I love the pic posted of the teenage daughter stuck in the coop priceless! If I left my 18 month old daughter in the coop she would be happy and play around for a long time before she noticed my departure. I think she is a chicken lover.

I thought I was the only one who got locked in the chicken coop before! Now, I keep a stick beside the door, so all I have to do is reach the stick through and pull the latch open. :)

Haha! Great story! My coop door doesn't lock behind me (I can fit through their door anyways...well... barely

) Glad you got out! My coop doesn't really need a lock! I'm not worried about them getting outta here!

I did it too

Luckily I had a pocket knife inside with me. I opened the window, cut through the screen along the bottom and side then reached through and unlatched it. I never did fix the screen, which is a good thing because it happened a few more times!

When we first finished our chicken pen, I managed to lock myself AND DH in. We also have a string to open the latch from the inside, now. Thank goodness for cellphones, and teenaged daughters who don't drive!
