What are the odds of Mrs Mallard having all male ducks in one hatching ?

Is this a trick question or are you just trying to figure out what the average male:female ratio is in a hatching?
When I had mallards, I found it varied every time. Most of them never made it to adulthood, thanks to daddy duck ( ) but I remember one hatch was 3 males and 1 female. The female died, but the males stuck with each other. They would fly laps around the house together.
When we got 12 ducklings from TSC last year it was 8:3.
I think the chances are going to be random every time, like with chickens. Unless you're lucky enough to have a female who always hatched females.
