i'm 16 and i always hear about people leavin their mark on society and i want to leave my own mark too but not how most kids my age would do. i want to create a new breed all together and i have two different types that i am working on but this cross is my top priority. i have a hen feathered silver campine rooster and access to another just like him they both carry the gold gene and i have bred mine with an egyptian fayoumi hen the chicks are just old enough for the three cockerals to start crowing and get their male feathers and the three of them are all hen feathered all three are silver to boot the other three are pullets and two are gold and there is one silver. when they hatched four hatched out with silver markings and three of them were the cockerals the other two had the markings of a gold and they were both hens. i would love to make this cross an autosexing breed and where the roosters are all hen feathered like seabrights. is this possible? has someone already done it? how many different pairs do i need? please tell me what you guys think i should do, should i just stop now before i waste my time or could i be on to something?
