Hey all,
I didn’t have a successful hatch with quail this year, and ended up with two males and two females.
I understand this is not a good ratio, but my options are limited.
These quail hatched aug 8 and live in a 6sqft hutch and have a ramp that leads down into a fenced outdoor area.
Everything has been fine and dandy but yesterday I went to put the quail to bed and I noticed both males had bloody caps (top of head). I’m assuming they fought, which has never happened before.
I put an ad out to see if anyone was interested in one of them but no interest yet. I’ve been checking on them all day, and everything seems to be fine now with no other injuries and both their heads look to be healing great.
Until I can get one Rehome, what is my best course of action?
Im fine with culling if that is the best answer but I’d like to hear other options first, I like these little guys.
