some websites on button quail say they will never sit on eggs and you guys say about the same but then o other sites it says they always sit nonstop on eggs witch is true

It depends on the type of quail and the type of set up they have. Coturnix are NOT LIKELY to brood their own young but it can happen if they have a natural type setting and are paired off. I know that isn't a bobwhite example, but if you have a more natural setting I am sure it increases the chance they will brood their own young.

"Button quail" have long been thought to be hard to brood. There are so many misconceptions about these quail. True Button quail are actualy a crane and not a quail at all. The little quail we all call button quail are actually Chinese Blue Breasted Quail to the rest of the world. They will brood if they are given the proper conditions. They are native to rice patties in China and such. If they are given proper lighting, adequate hiding places, and proper nutrition they will brood. I was skeptical as I've had them for YEARS and not had much brooding but after adding full spectrum lighting and minimal blak light 90% of my hens are brooding (and I've got a lot of quail!)

smallbluejellybean I'm sure you will end up with more. I have had them for 20 plus years now. It's been such a long time and they are still addicting! I have been "typing" to someone in Victoria, AU and he says that he has cinnamons and some wilds. I'm sure you'll find someone close with them. In Victoria they are an endangered species.
