ok so i am makin a chicken coop and run i do have 1 question i see alot here and there but i was wondering about the feed its always in the open how do you keep the rain from getting inside the food

You don't put it in the open. Rain ruins feed. Some people move their feeders around, some don't.

Some feeders come with a big cone/dish looking guard on top. Some keep their feeders inside the housing. Others place their feeders under sheltered areas, or even build table like platforms to keep their feeders under... Many choices...
