Hey guys, super excited to join the community and about soon getting chickens like I had as a kid. I have a small-medium three sided shelter shed that I would like to turn into a coop. Any ideas on construction for the empty side for chicken entrance ways, doors, screens, would be greatly appreciated. Cheers Monty

Where are you located? If you're in a hot climate with mild winters you might want to consider filling that fourth wall with wire only.

Can you post some pictures?

Looks like this, but this isn’t actual picture (not at home at moment).

Is that a metal shed?
Might need to add some ventilation added to tops of those 3 walls.
Will you free range or have a secure run attached?
What predators do you anticipate?

It's easy to do, and then it's always there!

I was thinking I would have a smaller run area attached to the coop and then have a big area they can roam around which will be moveable.

Predators, potentially foxes. Don’t think local hawks/eagle are likely to go for them. Although neighbours say Ravens go for the eggs. Kangaroos breaking the fencing and rabbits going for the feed also a factor.

Yes, it is metal sheeting. What’s the best way to insulate?
