Making a crate/pen, help...

I'll be attending a local swap to try and get some of my roosters out of my hair. I have a lx crate that was my dobermans, but it's far too big to fit in my car. The side panels were up at the ceiling above my head! Heck to get in, even worse trying to get them out! I have a Mustang, if your wondering or wanting an image.
I need some help making a pen that I can fit into my car with ease and put together/take apart for these swaps. Any ideas on what to do? I have a 50ft roll of 36in chicken wire I'd like to use. I would get something else, more sturdy and stiff, but the cheap ones have big holes, the ones w/small holes are too costly, and I have young roo chicks to have in there too. Don't want to be chasing chicks all around the parking lot...
I've got dial up, so I'm not able to google info nor look at pictures. That's why I'm asking here. Got until the 25th, I believe, so no worries that you guys are gone for the holiday.

U can use a pet taxi or even a tote if they are big enough to fly out use some of that wire across the top

There's 3 or 4 adult roos and a couple juvie/chicks, they need to be together, I'm not going to provide 5 sets of waterers. Don't have a tote or taxi, just chicken wire and tree branches, lol.

Can you haul the crate in your car folded up or collapsed? You could transport the birds in cardboard boxes (with vent holes).
Then use the crate to hold them on display when you get there.

A tote is just $5 to $10. Use the wire for the top when you get there.

If you just want to use wire. Cut 2 pieces the size you want the crate for the top and bottom. Cut 1 piece as long as the perimeter of the bottom. Use wire ties to make the long piece a ring. Fold it into a square/rectangle. Attach 1 side of the top and bottom with wire ties. You now have a collapsible crate. Once you get there, you can use twist ties to square the bottom. Maybe spring clothes pins for the top, so you can open it?
