Making a incubator

I'm going to be building an incubator. Im using a Styrofoam box, a porcelain socket lamp (made for reptile lamps), a ceramic heat emitter, and a small, and a handheld fan. I have the most expensive parts, I just need the box and fan. will post building specks later <3

Good luck with your project. Many of us have successfully built and hatched eggs in a homemade bator.

Instead of the handheld fan i suggest a computer fan ,and to power it a old charger from a cell phone.if you check we had about this subject not to long ago.

I'm having issues locating a styrofoam box? any ideas?
The ceramic heat emitter I'm using is a 60 watt one;

My dads hooking up a dimmer or thermostat to the lamp, we'll see?

Also, Do I HAVE to have a rack? My plan was to use pine bedding on the bottom and then have a glass of water in there where the chicks couldnt reach it :-/

I'm taking a $50 lamp back to Petsmart, so hopefully it'll cover all the remaining items and maybe my rats a new hammock.

I'm also buying a two dollar frame that I can rubber cement to the front of the incubator.

Walmart might have a big worm box or a styrofoam cooler.
