Out of an old incubator

So our old incubator decided to be a brat and have a very unsteady temp. I'm buying some guinea eggs and turkey eggs after this batch hatches, so I need the bator to keep a steady temp.
I think it's the system that decides the ambient temp, since when the temp drops, it won't heat back up, and sometimes it randomly wants to heat up to 101 F. We have a digital thermometer that works well, the heating system seems fine, though sometimes it says its heating but it doesn't seem to be.
How would I fix this? I can't do it until the bator either hatches the eggs around the 12, or kills them all.
