making hard boiled eggs

Is it ok to give them to my chickens whole with the shell still on or is it better to mash them up?

I prefer to mash or chop them up (complete with shell), I do not like to give them things that look like "eggs" since I don't want them to get the idea that eggs are edible.

Yeah I ended up mashing them up together. They went totally CRAZY for them, was quite a sight haha
