Making incubator. Dual fan? Light and thermostat placing?

There is a computer store half a mile from me.. I asked to buy a used fan ($3) and the guy gave me a dual fan, EXACTLY like this one http://cgi.ebay.com/Original-xbox-360-Dual-CPU-GPU-Case-fan-Replacement-4pn-/250485942233

I'm making a cooler bator like this one

Is dual okay or do I need to unwire one of the fans??

Okay, another question.. Do the fans and light/thermostat need to be on the same side? The problem with the dual fan is that it is so wide, I mounted it in the middle of the end of the cooler. There is probably less than 3" on each side of it.
