Hello, all. I am new here and I am currently incubating 7 Ancona Duck Eggs. This is my first time with ducklings/ducks and I am very, very excited!!! Basically, I have figured most everything out, save one thing: How to build my own duckling brooder! I didn't know if maybe someone out there has built their own brooders out of some type of container and whatnot! I really want to avoid spending money from buying one, so any tips or plans would be helpful!! Thanks!!

P.S. If anyone has other tips or plans for an outdoor, backyard duck coop, that would be nice too! Thanks again!!

Im having great luck, now using a kiddie pool. cardboard corral wall around outside would work better than old trailer skirting insulation.. as they're eating at holes put in by cat claws.

I like old rabbit/guinea pig cages at first but this time i have now graduated to a kiddy pool, i just fenced around it with some small animals type for bunnies and what not.

As for coops, their is a duck coop thread.. have to look it up.. tons of useful ideas.

One of my coops builds that has instructions.. is the minimalist coop from chicken coops for dummies..

Thank you very much guys! I'll have to go with the kiddy pool idea then! And I'll also check out the coop thread! I appreciate the help!
