Making my own scratch

i know there has been a zillion threads on this but here is mine

I came into approximately 200lbs of BOSS the other day.....my local grain mills sell a cheapie 3 grain scratch. Mostly corn and milo, not sure what the third grain is, can't remember.

I was planning on mixing regular scratch with BOSS, and gamebird pellets for added protein (20%). I don't have any oats now but may buy some.

What kind of ratio would you use?

Scratch
Boss
Gamebird Pellets
(Possibly) oats

Well I went ahead and made my own last night.

5 parts Scratch
5 parts BOSS
2 parts Sweet Feed (not sure if 10% or 12%)
1 part puppy food (26% protein)


It seemed to be a big hit this morning.
