Making the best out of a muddy wet year....pics included-with no mud.

I am at a loss with the mud. The weather here in WI is a MESS with rain. I feel bad for the ducks but are they actually enjoying when there are HUGE water/mud puddles in their yard? At night they are not in that, and they have dry areas to hang out in IF they choose to. When I dump the kiddie pools they waddle so fast to the area that gets puddles and they seem to LOVE digging around, mucking up the pools as I refill them too. I know they are ducks and they love water....but the mud too?

Thank You. They are all molting so they look a bit rough. Finding out I have a few too many boys.
