Making your own clothing

I'm looking into getting into making my own clothes. I mean I spent half my high school career doodling my own designs for clothes. If I can't be a famous designer, I can do that.

Any tips?

I make scrub tops and sometimes other sun dresses etc... I will post a pic of somthing. Most of my sewing it making quilts and crafts. I wish I had more time.
