Male And Female

One of my male ducks has been alone ever since a duckling. I had two ducklings but one died. So I raised him alone. He is super sweeym today I put a female in there with him. And he is terrified of the female. The female will chase him a little, almost like she is playing with him. Is this normal? Never seen and of my other males be scared of a female before.

Probably needs to adjust to it. Ducks usually aren’t too aggressive towards each other and if they are you will know pretty quick. I think she’s just trying to get friendly with him. It’ll take time for him to adjust.

My ducks were afraid of new ducklings we hatched, it took a few weeks for them to realize that they were ducks and friendly. They acted like they were going to kill them They were just cute little ducklings, but they saw them as vicious monsters.
