Male Bird Compatibility?

let me correct my self in my first post I reread it and I see why it would lead you to think I'm hatching more birds but I'm not I only have five baby chicks already hatched plus the two baby ducks I'm just wonder will the male birds get along with my adult rooster and hens?

TSW that depends.

How many hens do you have?

Once they hit adulthood they are all going to has m want their own harem and if you don't have enough hens they will fight over the ones you do have.

It will result in an unbalanced flock, over bred hens and stressed hurt roosters.

How is that foolish? Did you kill your mother when she got older, or will you?

The chickens serve a purpose. If that purpose is fulfilled or conditions are not there for me to give them a happy healthy existence they need to be culled.

Sticking a flock of roosters into a pen or coop is not a happy life for a rooster.

I have 12 hens total but two different coops since they are free-range they really go were ever they want in the day but at night each bird knows what coop they are supposed to go to. and I'm not stocking all the roosters in to one pen.

Sounds like you may get away with two roosters, but it's hard to say.

More then that and you're going to need to have a plan to remove roosters from the situation.

Though I prefer to start with more roosters then I plan on keeping. This way I can select for personality traits I desire.

okay thanks I will pick out one I like and if the two roosters get along then I will keep him and I might know someone who will take the rest with my adult rooster I don't know what I should do with him because he has scissor beak and I'm waiting to see how it progresses

Well I will see how it goes with their beak none have any signs yet I agree I dont want them to be miserable if the have it bad enough
