Hello, i have a tom Broad Breasted White turkey and a female Standard Bronze turkey, if they were to breed to have babies, are they going to be mixed or are they going to be one of either? Thanks

If they successfully mate (unlikely) any offspring should be Bronze Semi-Color that will look very similar to bronze. It is impossible to predict for sure because white is recessive and can mask all of the color genes. It is possible for the white tom to be carrying all sorts of hidden color genes both dominant and recessive.

One clue is the eye color of the white turkey. If the eye color is white, the white turkey is bronze based (b or b1). If the eye color is blue then the white turkey is black bases (BB).

If you want to breed a broad breasted turkey to a heritage turkey, you have better chances of success if the broad breasted turkey is the hen and the heritage turkey is the tom.
