Male Button quail Clouded eye ?! Any thoughts what it could be/advice?!

I have a 4 year old male button who i have noticed has become cloudy in his left eye. He is eating and behaving his usual self! I am going to be taking him to the vet but just wondered if anyone has had this happen to any of their buttons? He is with just one female. Im worried about the vets as he is a JUMPER ill just have to hold on to him tightly.

Any other symptoms? Weepy or swollen?
Also, how long do buttons live? It could simply be cataracts developing if that's middle to senior age for them. They don't always develop symmetrically.
Hope the little fellow is okay.

Thanks for the quick reply ! I took him to the vets today, think it is cataracts :-( He is on a course of metacam and hopefully see some improvement if not may have to have eye removed :-S !! Im hoping the metacam will help !!! Buttons are so sweet !!

I would not remove the eye unless it is dead. he can lead a good life with a cataract. poor thing.

Yes I wouldnt want the little guy to have to go though surgery !! Got my fingers crossed the metacam is gonna help him out !!!

I wouldn't have surgery on him. He already 4 years old. Can you get a seperate cage next to your others so no one picks on him.
As long as the infection clears up he will be ok.
