The other day I came home and the male pigeon of a mated pair had passed away.

The two of them have 3 pigeon babies still all living together. No eggs currently.

Would I be able to pair her with a new male or is this considered a bust, as far as this female pigeon goes?

Thanks!

I don't think you can expect her new mate to feed these babies but she should accept a new mate and lay again with him. 3 babies is probably too many for the hen to feed properly on her own. If they were mine I would be prepared to supplement with extra food by hand. How old are the babies?

I have a cockbird on his own with 2 10 day olds bc the hen went missing a few days ago. I am watching their crops to make sure they are being fed enough. The male is already pairing up with another hen.

eta Sorry for your loss.
