Dark gray is definitly male. The light looks like female

I’m not exactly sure of your question, but I had a silkie rooster that I put in the garage at night to quiet him down. I left him in there until about 8:30 or 9am. He, of course, still crowed during the day, but at least nobody could hear it in the morning.
