Sorry, I just meant the two smaller brown poults. The white is a mature hen who is their adoptive mother. She's around two years old. From all I’ve learned so far, the white one is a tom and the rest are hens. But I could be wrong. @TurkeyTimes @R2elk ?
That’s a big hen with a lot of presence! Wow.Sorry, I just meant the two smaller brown poults. The white is a mature hen who is their adoptive mother. She's around two years old.
If I remember correct she's a white holland. Very sweet bird and excellent mother. She likes people too. I got her as an adult from a friend who lost her turkey flock. I got her a mate whose breed I don't remember right now and the poults after her eggs were ruined after a crazy few weeks of rain. Her and the tom (who is also pretty dang big) both take care of the poults. It's been fun watching. That’s a big hen with a lot of presence! Wow.
Both appear to be hens but only one is a Narragansett. The lighter, browner one looks like a Golden Narragansett. Is it apparent in these two yet? They are Narragansett poults. 3 months old. Golden NarragansettThanks. I wanted a male for thanksgiving dinner, so we'll see what we decide. The breed didn't really matter to me, I was just saying that in case it matters for sexing. Is a golden Narragansett special?
