Male or female

This chick is confusing me, small spot but otherwise looks identical to my other 2 females with clear chipmunk stripes and head V and dark eye stripes. Is it a boy or can girls sometimes have a small head spot?

Females are also much darker than males and have very defined stripes

I thought it was the males that had the head spots and females with the defined stripes? This chick seems to have both!

Males are paler and duller than females and have a large white patch on their head
