Not sure what breed they are, my daughters school hatched some chics and we kept two, they are abit 12 week old, will they change colour?

I'm indecisive about them - the one in back has a smaller comb and wattles but has more red markings on the wing. I've often heard chicken folks say markings like that are generally on males.

The foremost bird has a larger comb, and wattles and thicker legs, with barely any markings on wings. I really think your photos should be posted at " what breed or gender is this." I'd love to learn about them myself. I think they may be a mix.
