check the vent underneath the tail feathers. if there is a bulge then lightly press it and if foam comes out then it is a male. will you post a photo of the other quail that you have sexed already?

ok i found out it is defiantly female. However i have another problem. I went out yesterday and i found that 3 of my quails had been fighting. Thankfully i managed to stop it and separate them. So i have two separated all 3 males. i have on with the two females and the other 2 are completely separated for each other. However i dont know what to do now. if i put them back together then they will fight again. I have researched into it and i believe the only way is to increase the amount of females or sell two of the males? is there any other way?
Also the females have not laid an egg yet and they are past 6 weeks old. is it due to the males?
thanks

The ratio of quails is 3:1 or 6:1. It means 1 roo for 3 to 6 hens.
I think you should sell or eat one of male/roo.. Or buy some more hens and separate them.
Male quails are not importanr to lay eggs. A hen automatically start laying eggs by her biological schedule.. But when you want fertile eggs for breed then you need a male for mating..

I think you can understand... Now it ups to you... What do you want to do?
