Male Pekin duck with a growth at his tail feathers looks like a very large abscess I need help please

That sounds like it could be his oil gland which is perfectly normal. They rub their Bill in it and then rub the oil all over their feathers that’s how they stay waterproof. Can you take a picture?

however, I was just thinking you said it’s very large so it might be impacted or something the pictures would be extremely helpful
