Male Silkie?

I'm presuming this one is a boy. But he is less developed than the other silkie we have. Going to be culling some chickens soon, just want to make sure that this one doesn't accidentally get killed if it's a pullet.

The wee wattles starting to form, make me think boy!

I don't see streamers (longer feathers on the head) that roos get. Silkies develope at different rates. To be sure you might want to wait for the crow or be surprised by an egg.

Alrighty, I'll hold off on culling it for now

We have Silkes and full sized chickens. We still have the young silkie males as they didn't crow until well after butcher day. We hope to bring them to the auction soon.
