Male to Female ratio?

How well does the male usually cover his hens for good fertility? Is it about the same a chickens? I want to coop some for true colors but don't want to confine too many cocks because I want them crusing the yard for bugs. Once a guinea hen is bred, is she fertil from that cock for 3-4 weeks like a chicken?

"They say" 1 cock to 5 hens. But they seem happier in pairs. Not sure what your aim is...production versus yard ornaments like mine are.

On their own they will choose 1:1, but in confinement they will accept 1:5. I am thinking I will choose the latter. Mine come in the beginning of next month. I can't wait.

Guineas pair up they get married you could say. That is why you always see 2, and then the ones that have not paired up yet run in groups.
