i have 1 chick who hatched yesterday who has messed up feet. They stick out wrong and look weird. His dad is also his grandpa and his mom his half sister. Could that have affected his development? Dad is a white Brahma and Mom is white Brahma/Black sex link cross.
The eggs were on a rotator until Sunday morning when they started hatching. I upped humidity on Sunday. Person watching chickens when we’re were on vacation said he got all the eggs. Got home two weeks ago this passed Saturday so having chicks now determines that was a lie.
He is standing better today and is eating and drinking fine. Just has to stop walking more often and isn’t very quick.
Could I splint it somehow? What would cause this?

but for you it’s not what you need to do is get a half inch piece of a drinking plastic straw not like the kind in the barnyard next you’ll need a very thin hair tie and push it through the straw peice so their are two even loops on either side of the short straw next the last step put your chicks legs in each loop one leg in each loop keep in mind this only works 90% of a time but it’s worth a shot GOOD LUCK!!
