Mallard Duck feather question...

My group of 4 is about half way feathered. And they are brownish on their chest and shoulders.
How long until the heads and the rest fill out to figure goose or gander?
The way they are now they all look like girls.

Ducks always feather out to look like females first, then the male gets the color later on. I'm not exactly sure when, but I want to say my males go the color around 2 months??

P.S. With ducks it is duck and drake, not goose and gander

Ok So I have about another month to go then.
I have brought in so many I can't keep track.

Now I'm starting to think that it might have taken longer maybe another month? I'll have to go look at some pictures.
