Mallard Duck sexing question

How soon are you able to sex Mallard Ducklings?

My mom got 6 duckling memorial day weekend and they are now well feathered and they all look like females. There only seems to be one that really quacks.

So, if they look like females are they females? or does the male color come in later?

Once they start to get their adult voices you can sex them.

The males have low hoarse quacks, and the females have very loud quacks.

they get their adult feathers about 3 months the males will have the green head

the best way is to pick each one up, the females will give a loud protesting quack, all the males will do is make raspy sounds
