My Mallard has started laying eggs. 3 over the last 4 days. Is this normal? Will they hatch? I havent witnessed any activity with the male so I dont know about if they would be fertilized. She lays them inside the chicken coop in one of the nesting boxes. Which is ok since my 3 hens wont use the box they use a corner of the floor. (another question that I could use an answer to.) She isnt broody shes not sitting on the nest. I thought she wouldnt be ready untill Spring. Im new so please forgive my ignorance. Thanks
