Mallard or Rouen?

I guess we are assuming that all of the ducks that TSC gets come from Mt. Healthy? Well.. My TSC gets their birds from Ideal.. Just FYI

Mine were sold as mallards, but they are rouens.

better make sure mt. healthy is the only place they get there ducks for sure cause i asked the rual king mangers near me where they got theres and got 2 differnt ansewers. but on the tsc website they say some stores do carry rouen. but their probly mallards but i got mine full grown and had to pinon them to make them legal in my state so i dont need a permit.

JUST A SIDE NOTE
I find it amazing that all domestic ducks except the muscovy were bread selectively out of the mallard.

My TSC told me that the ducks came from Mt Healthy. I don't really care if they are Mallards or Rouens, just wanted to get an idea of what to expect for size.

If they are mallards, they will be smallish about 5 lbs. at full maturity. However, if they are Rouen, they could be up to 10-12 lb and very BIG.
