Mallard with hoarse voice. Please reply asap!

Hi,
I am concerned about my 5 year old Mallard, Roger. He's been living a good 5 years healthy, but in this past week his voice has gone hoarse. I live in North Carolina, and the summer heat it pretty tough, but he's always got fresh water near by. At first we thought it could have something to do with the fact that he's molting, but it's been about a week and he seems almost more hoarse than before. He's still dabbling around the yard and acting completely fine.

Could be the heat... just keep an eye on him. If he looks tired or exhausted, try some electrolytes.

My mallards are molting now and they look pretty sad. The heat is not too bad here. But they are dabbling, drinking, swimming and having a good time none the less.
