mallards

Im new to the waterfowl section so just have some newbie questions.
1: If I get mallards and let them free range around my house will they leave...its fenced in.
2: Is it true that for the winter they will leave to a near by water source to lay there eggs.
3: How many drakes so it be for every female.
I live in Florida so please give all opinions.

I am pretty sure Florida doesn't allow people to own mallards.
