mama and her chicks - where are they safe?

Thanks for all your comments and suggestions. I let the babies and mama out and immediately one of the other hens went after a chick. So now I've got the brooder set up with mama and chicks, and they seem to be content. They won't last 2 months in there, because it's only about 2' wide and 4' long. At least it gives me plenty of time to figure out if I should let them join the others or build a separate cage for new moms and babes.
