Mama goes crazy, and there's an egg missing

Sounds like another predator, but what would do that? We've lost eggs to snakes but they slither away slowly and we spot 'em. They also aren't satisfied with just one egg. We've lost a hen to a hawk, but they don't steal eggs. I'm only familiar with coons coming at night, when it's all tightly closed up.
I don't know what is doing it but at this point it doesn't really matter. It is happening and you need to stop it. Are these eggs marked and were they started at the same time? You probably already marked them but if you didn't now is the time. :)

Yep they're marked and all started at the same time. We got them from our local chicken expert lady. We had been hatching our own but we had to give our girls a break from the roosters. We harvested two young cocks who were mating nonstop and wearing out the hens.

My wife the CEO (chicken executive officer) is already hatching up a plan to separate and secure the broody hen starting tonight. We already do that once the peeps pop out, so we're accelerating that setup. Thank you.
