Mama hatching chick chronicals!!!

Another broken one!!! The chicks are eating the parts inside. Should I let them?

She is now taking frequent breads and not laying on the eggs much. Has she given up?

I would say she knows that is all that is going to hatch. Do you have chick feed and water where the babies can reach it? And, sometimes it is a good idea to put marbles or small stones in the waterer for the first couple days, so they don't get their little selves upside down in the waterer and drown. I had one do this, when I first started. Good Luck.

yes, I do have feeders and waterers. Putting marbles in them might be a good idea. Thanks!

We found a crumpled eggshell that wasn't bloody, so there might be a chick. We don't want to upset the mom and check, though.
