Mama hen and chicks outing??

How long after hatching does a mama hen usually feel happy with taking her chicks out to explore?? mine hatched last night and are running around all fluffy, but mummy seems content with just sitting on them??

Mine usually take 2-3 days before they feel comfortable leading them anywhere. They usually spend a day or so exploring the coop, then she leads them outside but stays near the coop for a week or two. It's normal for them to sit a day or two after they hatch, particularly if there are any unhatched eggs still under her.
