What’s best and safest to use on Mama Hen and newborn babies to treat for Mites?

How long after treating their brooding box can they safely go back in?

Poor mom is itching really bad …

Remove all bedding, apply a permethrine based dust or spray and put it bew bedding. You may have to dust the birds.

Definitely need to treat mom, make sure you get the dust or spray on her skin around vent, belly, under wing and around neck.

I do have Poultry dust. — And, this is OK for the babies? Won’t they breathe in dust while sleeping under mom?

I just want to be double sure… I assume I won’t need to do anything to babies as they will get some on them by rubbing next to mom?

Well, they might, but IMO it's better than getting consumed by mites.

I would assume so also, have done it once before. Chicks were fine.
