Mama of Chickadees

Hello and welcome to BYC! :frow

Adorable babies! 💗 The most important thing to know when starting out with chickens is that they require daily care, including clean water, food, and a clean living space. They also need a safe and secure coop and run to protect them from predators. Additionally, regular health checks are important to catch any potential issues early on. And this is where BYC comes in, ask as many questions as needed. Welcome aboard!

Hello! Chicken mama in Houston and just got my girls Thursday.

I was raised around chickens but have been begging for backyardies for years. My beloved finally understood the deep desire and we’ve started our adventure.

We have 6 2-week old Welsummers. All girls. I’ll venture to a roo when I have more land.

What’s the most important thing everyone should know when just starting out?
Welcome aboard!!
