Mamma gave up on eggs too early!

I have 2 eggs that my black australorp, terriyaki gave up on too early. This was/is her first hatch. The eggs should hatch sometime this week (I forgot to mark the day I set them). I went into the coop multiple times today and each time she wasn’t on the eggs. They were very cold so I took them inside and created a make shift incubator out of a heating pad and some towels. I want to see if they are still alive before purchasing a real incubator. Does anybody have any advice?
I am not having much hatching luck this year.

take them in a dark closet with a strong flashlight and see if their kicking .

One I saw move for sure, and the other is not 100% sure but I think I saw it move. They are very dark, so it is kind of hard to tell.

Yes, they both have perfect air cells.

they will need humidity or they wont be able to hatch. TSC has a stryofoam bator for around $40.00 or maybe you can build one but you dont have a lot of time. I would maybe slip them under the hen after she goes to roost tonight and get a bator in the am ?

I have work in the morning, so that wouldn’t work. I could get one, but it would have to wait until after work tomorrow evening. I have a damp towel under the heating pad with them, which I think could work until I can get them a bator. The temp is reading about 95-100 under there rn, so I’m hoping that will suffice for now.

do you have a towel over them to help heat the whole egg ? Not a lot you can do really .
