Morning all....hope everyone had a great holiday.
I am "slowly" working on becoming more serious about how/what I breed in order to attain the APA standard, especially in my Rocks (blues and columbian to begin with).
I have an "adopted mentor" from the Plymouth Rock club that is helping to teach me what to do. However, he is encouraging me to keep multiple roos in several color patterns. I currently have 3 large coops (6x8x8) each attached to a 20x20 (approx) run and 2 smaller grow up coops for little ones. These are 2ft x 4ft coops with 10x10 runs.
Typically, these coops are full of "something". I am tryng to thin my flock down to a more manageable size, but for you folks that keep multiple roos, especially just for breeding purposes, how to you do it? Where do you house them? With other roos? Will they get along?
Any and all advise is appreciated
Thanks
Scott
