So on Friday Sophie (2 years) and I went with my mom to TSC. We looked at the baby chicks and ducklings when Sophie noticed a small tub of day old hatched chicks. She sat down next to them and smiled and started talking to them. I was so afraid she dart her little hand in there and start chasing the little chicks but she didn't.

She asked to touch them. So I picked one up and she put her little finger on it and very gently stroked its little head. I'm so proud of her for being kind and gentle. Being gentle is such a hard concept for her. Now I know when I get my chicks she will treat them right.
