If you have the time set there and watch them. You will see pretty quick how friendly they are to each other.They love the fresh water. after they play they usually show breeding behavior . good luck

That bigger pool will be lots better for them... Ducks love water and need lots of it, fresh, to keep themselves clean and happy. I'd cleam that pond twice a week during the breeding season as the fresher the water, the happier they'll be. But it isn't too late, some hens double clutch and they will lay as late as june and sometimes july. Mine just started settin 13 eggs the day before yesterday so thats a good indicator you have a chance! Good luck and let us know what happens!
